Eugenia: A True Story of Adversity, Tragedy, Crime and Courage By Mark Tedeschi QC

Eugenia: A True Story of Adversity, Tragedy, Crime and Courage By Mark Tedeschi QC

Published by Simon & Schuster Available in paper and ebook in September 2012.

This is the true story of the life and trial of Eugenia Falleni, a woman who in 1920 was charged with the murder of her wife – yes wife! Eugenia lived in Sydney for twenty-two years as a man, Harry Crawford, and during that time officially married twice.

This is a great read for Legal Studies teachers with parallels between the criminal justice system of the 1920s and today.
