Our Annual Conference is a major event held to support Legal Studies teachers, please note that places are limited and so we advise teachers to register early
L.S.A. members from all over New South Wales come to hear a wide range of speakers and engage in different practical workshops.
The Conference aims to provide a mix of academic, professional and practical speakers as well as teaching and learning workshops.
These are joined by a range of exemplary teaching practitioners who are happy to share their experience and expertise with members
LSA is pleased to announce that
we will again be offering a limited amount of grants to schools located within
NSW, but further than 300km from the conference venue, to attend our 2018 State
Conference. Information is available on the links below.
Please note that parking will also be available in P5 at Rosehill Racecourse, directly opposite Rydges. Follow signs to P5. Also please do not leave your car there if attending the dinner as it will be locked in overnight. Please move it after Day 1 presentations.
Rydges has advised that due to a concert being held at Homebush on the night of our conference, accommodation at Rydges and in the surrounding area will be at a premium. You are advised to book your accommodation early.

The Legal Studies Association of NSW Inc is endorsed to provide NESA Registered Professional Development for teachers accredited at Proficient Teacher.
Completing Legal Studies State Conference – Day 1, Sessions 1 to 6 will contribute 5 hours 30 minutes of NESA Registered PD addressing 2.1.2; 5.1.2, 6.2.2, 6.3.2 and 7.4.2 from the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers towards maintaining Proficient Teacher Accreditation in NSW.
Completing Legal Studies State Conference – Country Teachers Network Meeting will contribute 1 hour of NESA Registered PD addressing 6.2.2 and 7.4.2 from the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers towards maintaining Proficient Teacher Accreditation in NSW.
Completing Legal Studies State Conference – Day 2, Sessions 7 to 12 will contribute 5 hours 30 minutes of NESA Registered PD addressing 2.1.2; 5.1.2, 6.2.2, 6.3.2 and 7.4.2 from the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers towards maintaining Proficient Teacher Accreditation in NSW.
Delegates are required to attend for the whole time in order to have their PD hours accredited by NESA. To enable registration of this Professional Learning opportunity, please bring your NESA number.
