LSA 2020 State Conference

The LSA 2020 State Conference will be held on Thursday 26 March and Friday 27 March 2020 at Rydges Hotel, Rosehill.  

Planning for the 2020 State Conference is well underway and we will place all the relevant information on this site when finalised.

Our Annual Conference is a major event held to support Legal Studies teachers, please note that places are limited and so we advise teachers to register early

L.S.A. members from all over New South Wales come to hear a wide range of speakers and engage in different practical workshops.

The Conference aims to provide a mix of academic, professional and practical speakers as well as teaching and learning workshops.

These are joined by a range of exemplary teaching practitioners who are happy to share their experience and expertise with members

LSA is pleased to announce that we will again be offering a limited amount of grants to regional schools located within NSW, but further than 300km from the conference venue, to attend our 2020 State Conference. Information is available on the links below.

Please note that parking will also be available in P4 at Rosehill Racecourse, directly opposite Rydges. Follow signs to P4. Also please do not leave your car there if attending the dinner as it may be locked in overnight. Please move your car after Day 1 presentations.

Legal Studies Association of NSW Inc is endorsed to provide NESA Registered Professional Development for teachers accredited at Proficient Teacher.

Completing the 2020 Legal Studies State Conference – Day 1, Sessions 1 to 6 will contribute 5 hours 30 minutes of NESA Registered PD addressing 2.1.2 & 6.2.2 from the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers towards maintaining Proficient Teacher Accreditation in NSW.

Completing the 2020 Legal Studies State Conference – Country Teachers Network Meeting will contribute 1 hour of NESA Registered PD addressing 7.4.2 from the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers towards maintaining Proficient Teacher Accreditation in NSW.

Completing the 2020 Legal Studies State Conference – Day 2, Sessions 7 to 9 will contribute 3 hours of NESA Registered PD addressing 6.2.2 from the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers towards maintaining Proficient Teacher Accreditation in NSW.

Completing the 2020 Legal Studies Teachers State Conference – Day 2, Sessions 10 to 11 will contribute 1 hour and 30 minutes of NESA Registered PD addressing 6.2.2 from the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers towards maintaining Proficient Teacher Accreditation in NSW.

Delegates are required to attend for the whole time in order to have their PD hours accredited by NESA and must sign-out after each registered period.

The NESA number is a 6-figure number that you have been given by NESA. If you are registered with NESA under a different name or school, you must ensure the correct details are on the sign-on sheet.
