In line with our commitment to working to improve our communications with members, we have made major changes to our website. It is aimed at improving communication between and with our members.
The L.S.A. has been providing support and resources for teachers and students of Legal Studies in New South Wales since 1994.
A major service is the provision of student lectures in metropolitan and country New South Wales, reaching over a 1500 students and 300 H.S.C. teachers during the course of the calendar year.
The L.S.A. exists for teachers, it was created by teachers and is run by teachers, your support is vital to our continued growth and development. Please be an active member, we welcome submissions to our journal, Legal Briefs, as well as your participation in our in-service courses and conference.
We also encourage members to become involved in the Association through attending the Committee meetings. To keep our Association strong, become involved. Rest assured your presence will be appreciated and your contributions welcome.
Finally as we develop our new website, your suggestions and contributions are particularly welcome, the new website is a work in progress, please help us to make it better for our members.

Eugenia: A True Story of Adversity, Tragedy, Crime and Courage
By Mark Tedeschi QC
Published by Simon & Schuster Available in paper and ebook in September 2012.
This is the true story of the life and trial of Eugenia Falleni, a woman who in 1920 was charged with the murder of her wife – yes wife! Eugenia lived in Sydney for twenty-two years as a man, Harry Crawford, and during that time officially married twice.
This is a great read for Legal Studies teachers with parallels between the criminal justice system of the 1920s and today.
